A Chilly Return To The Colder Climate

FARGO, N.D. (3/09/13)—After spending a week in the warm weather of Florida, Concordia returned to the colder climate and lost 7-2 to St. John's in the second conference match of the season.

The Cobbers fell behind early as they dropped all three doubles matches. The No.2 doubles tandem of Peter Dahlberg and Nick Moe had the closest match of the afternoon as they narrowly lost 8-5.

Moe then turned around and earned one of the two singles wins. He posted a 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 at No.4 singles and earned his third win of the season. The victory is the second in his last four matches as the freshman starts to get accustomed to the collegiate game.

The other singles win for the Cobbers came from senior Devin Larson who won by default at No.2 singles. Larson has now won two straight matches and earned victories in five of his last six singles bouts. Larson leads Concordia with six singles wins on the year. He is now 7-3 as the team's No.2 singles player.

Concordia will step out of conference when they travel to Owatonna to take on Simpson College on Saturday, Mar. 16 at 3:40 p.m.
