Stumped By St. Cloud State In Sartell

SARTELL, Minn. (3/17/12)—Concordia lost 9-0 to St. Cloud State in Sartell on Saturday in the team's first match since they returned from their annual spring break trek to Florida.

The Cobbers fell into a 3-0 hole at the end of doubles play. The closest match in doubles competition came at No.1 where Devin Larson and Brian Olson lost 8-5.

The closest match in singles play came at No.5 singles where Will Granrud lost in a single-set tie-breaker. Granrud lost the first set 6-2 but then rallied to claim the second set 7-6 (7-2). Unfortunately he couldn't continue the momentum and lost 10-6 in the super-set tie-breaker.

The Cobbers will host Macalester and St. Mary's next weekend as Concordia looks to earn their first conference win of the year. CC will face Macalester on Saturday, Mar. 24 and then square off against St. Mary's on Sunday, Mar. 25.
