MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/14/19)---The Concordia College men's soccer team remains undefeated with a 3-0 win over Buena Vista on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Tyson Aberle jump started the Cobbers offense at the 3:36 mark in the first half, scoring his second goal of the season, and giving Concordia an 1-0 lead. The goal assisted by Henry Schaefer.
The Cobbers would score twice in the second half, Casey Haldis burried a ball past the Beaver goaltender at the 60:58 mark, to score his first collegiate goal. Schaefer credited for his second assist of the game. Freshman Sondre Rygg added an isurance goal , his second collegiate goal, from an assist by freshman teammate Matthew Nemer .
The Cobber defense held Buena Vista to a scoreless afternoon. The Beavers would tally only one shot on the day, while the Cobbers recorded 22 shots, 12 that were on-goal, recorded by nine different Cobbers. Concordia is now averaging 3.75 goals per game and have outscored all opponents 15-1 in their first four games.
Freshman goalie Noah Sahr earned his second career win and his first collegiate shut-out.
UP NEXT: The Cobbers improve to 4-0 and will look to keep their winning streak alive on Wednesday in their first confernce game of the season. Concordia will host Saint John's University at 4:00pm.
