A Record Honorable Mention Haul

MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/12/15)—Concordia had a program-record four players earn MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors. It is also the first time since 2001 that the Cobbers have had four players earn league postseason awards.

Dami Adegunle, Ben Glogoza, Nick Koerbitz and Sage Thornbrugh were all named to the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. Jacob Schmidt was the team's selection for the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

Adegunle, Glogoza and Koerbitz all earn conference postseason honors for the first time in their careers while Thornbrugh receives his second honorable mention honor. He was also named to the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team in his freshman season in 2013.

The quartet of players helped the Cobbers double their win total from 2014 in 2015. Concordia also recorded one of its biggest wins under four-year head coach Ben Schneweis when they beat regionally-ranked St. John's. The Johnnies went on to finish second in the league standings. The Cobbers also defeated non-conference opponent Carthage who was also regionally ranked and went on to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The four Concordia players all played different roles for CC during the year. Adegunle was the quick-strike main offensive threat for the Cobbers. Glogoza and Koerbitz were the foundation of the defense from their goalie and central defender positions while Thornbrugh was the team's main playmaker.

Adegunle finished the year three goals and four assists for 10 points in all games. It is the first time in his three-year career at Concordia that he has recorded a double-digit point total.

Glogoza played in 14 of the team's 18 overall games and nine of the 10 league contests. He finished the conference schedule with 51 saves which was second in the MIAC. He was also third in the conference in saves in overall games.

Despite playing on the back line, Koerbitz led the team in scoring in MIAC games. He finished with five assists in the league while he recorded two goals and eight assists in all games. Koerbitz tied for conference lead in assists in overall games and was tied for third in league games.

Thornbrugh was third on the team in scoring in overall games and tied for second in MIAC contests. He finished the year with three goals and five assists for 11 points in the 18 total games. In conference play he recorded one goal and two assists for four points. His overall point total marked the second time in his three years at CC that he has had at least 10 points. Thornbrugh now has seven goals and 14 assists for 28 points in his career.
