MOORHEAD, Minn. (1/20/24)---Concordia gave up two goals in the first 6 minutes of their series finale with Bethel, allowed two goals in each of the three periods, and lost 6-0.
One of the key points in the game came in the second period when the Cobbers were staked to a 5-minute major power play. Concordia was unable to score during the 5 minutes and also allowed a pair of shorthanded goals, which took the score from a 2-0 deficit to a 4-0 edge.
Bethel (12-4-3, 6-2-2 MIAC) finished off the scoring with a pair of even-strength goals in the final half of the third period.
Concordia (8-7-2, 3-4-1 MIAC) was outshot 33-24 in the game. Liam Haslam, Hunter Olson and Joe Harguindeguy all had four shots to lead the Cobbers.
First-year goalie Dane Couture made 27 saves in the game.
