Cobbs Tied For 1st After Day 1

Grand Forks, ND (9/15/2019)- The Concordia College men's golf team is tied for first place after round one of the University of Minnesota-Crookston King's Walk Invite.

 

The Cobbers turned in a first round team score of 288, and are tied for first with the University of Manitoba's first team and second team. Bemidji State sits in fourth place just one stroke behind the leading teams. 

Mason Opheim  is tied for first on the leaderboard with four other golfers, the junior played his best round of the season, and is three under par with a first round 69. Senior, Gage Stromme carded a 70, also his best round this season, and is just one stroke behind the leaders. Blake Kahlbaugh follows with a 74 through 18, and is currently tied for 18th while teammates Nate Longtin and Tyler Bossert both turned in a first round 75 to tie for 21st. 

The Cobbers will look to stay at the top of the leaderboad in the final round tomorrow, tee times set for 9:00am
