Cobber Senior Spotlight - Coy Papachek

Cobber senior golfer Coy Papachek took a huge step over the summer as he lost in the quarterfinals on the 18th hole to eventual champion Ben Welle. Along the way papachek defeated Ohio State junior golfer Max Rosenthal in a thrilling 23-hole sudden death classic.

Papachek will be looking to bookend his career at Concordia by upping the stellar freshman season he had in 2011-12. He was named the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Region Team and also carried away Central Region Freshman of the Year honors.

Papchek won a pair of meets in his first year in maroon and gold including the prestigious Twin Cities Classic.
