Cobbers Open Two-Day Spring Season

MONTICELLO, Minn. (4/28/13)—Concordia opened its two-day spring season by finishing in a tie for 10th place at the 36-hole St. John's Winter Invitational at Monticello Country Club on Sunday.

The Cobbers shot a two-round total score of 632 (318-314) and were just 13 shots out of sixth place. All-Conference freshman Landon Poss led Concordia by firing a 153 (75-78) and finishing in a tie for 28th place. Poss' first-round 75 was tied for the lowest single round by any CC player at the tourney.

Poss was one of three Cobber golfers to finish in the 150's for the 36-hole event. Senior Jordie Siverson was the second top finisher for Concordia he rebounded for an opening-round 80 by shooting 75 in the second round and finished in a tie for 37th place at 155. Little known Micah Megorden went 77-80 (157) and placed in a tie for 44th place in his first collegiate meet.

Concordia will complete their spring campaign when they participate in the St. John's Spring Invite on Monday, Apr. 29. The one-round tournament starts at 8 a.m. at the Monticello CC.
