MIAC All-Conference honorees Matt Johnson (Fergus Falls, Minn.) and Rowan Nelson (Melrose, Minn.) added another award to their résumé as both players were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Matt Johnson, Rowan Nelson and Jacob Cook all earned MIAC postseason honors. Johnson and Nelson were named to the MIAC All-Conference Team, while Cook received All-Conference Honorable Mention honors. Nelson was also placed on the MIAC All-Playoff Team.

Shooting Sights Are Off In St. Paul

Concordia shot under 33.0% from the field and 3-point range and lost 73-55 at Hamline in the quarterfinals of the MIAC Tournament. The Cobbers’ cold shooting touch, combined with the Pipers’ advantage in rebounding and points in the paint sent Concordia to the loss.

It was nothing but good news for the Cobbers in their regular-season finale as they honored their seniors, had Rowan Nelson become the 15th player in program history to score 1,000 points and posted their largest season win total since 2016.

Concordia scored 51 points in the first half on its way to beating St. Olaf and clinching its first MIAC playoff berth since 2016.

Concordia made sure there would be no late-game drama on the way to its first MIAC playoff berth since 2016. The Cobbers dropped a season-high 51 points in the first half and rolled over St. Olaf 97-59.

Road Warriors Claim Another Win In The Ring

-In the 1990s, WWE had Hawk and Animal as The Road Warriors. In 2024, the MIAC has the Concordia Cobbers as The Road Warriors. For the fourth time in the last five away games, the Cobbers went on the road and wrestled their way to a win as they beat Augsburg 75-67.

Concordia posted season-low shooting percentages from the floor and outside the arc and lost to Gustavus 65-44. Despite the loss, Concordia remains in fifth place in the league standings.

It was a tale of two scoring stretches in the second half of the Cobbers’ midweek matinee with St. Mary’s. Concordia watched the Cardinals score 16 straight points to take a 1-point lead, but then the Cobbers responded with a 20-5 streak of their own down the stretch and won going away 72-58.

Rowan Nelson scored a team-high 20 points and had four rebounds in the Cobbers' win at Hamline. It's his second 20-point games of the season.

Sooner or later the tides had to turn for the Cobbers. The sooner came in St. Paul against Hamline as Concordia posted a 71-68 win against a team that had won seven straight games.

Concordia connected on a season-high 12 3-pointers, but it wasn’t enough in their MIAC match-up against Macalester. Scot junior Caleb Williams proved to be the difference in the game as he poured in a career-high 51 points – one shy of the MIAC record – as the Scots edged the Cobbers 92-88.

It was a Big Man Monday in Memorial Auditorium as Concordia used the strength of their inside game to post a 73-64 win over Augsburg. The Cobbers outscored the Auggies 38-18 in points in the paint and held a 24-21 edge in rebounding to come away with their second straight win and third in the past four games.
