Bolger Voted To NABC DIII All-Star Game

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/09/16)—Concordia senior Jordan Bolger continues to add to his impressive resume as he was voted to play in the seventh annual Reese's NABC Division III All-Star game.

The Reese's NABC Division III All-Star game will be held on Saturday, Mar. 19 in Salem, Va. in conjunction with the Division III Final Four. The game will be played before the NCAA title game which will be held at 6 p.m. The All-Star game will be streamed live via the D3hoops.com website.

Bolger was voted to play in the game after receiving 30% of the vote on the D3hoops.com website.  There were 72,564 votes cast in the poll with Brooklyn College senior Egzon Gjonbalaj earning the other fan vote nomination. The total votes cast are the second most in the six years D3hoops.com has been putting a pair of players into the All-Star game.  

Bolger and Gjonbalaj will join a roster of eight players from the East and eight from the West which will be announced after the national semifinal participants are determined with this weekend's games in the rounds of 16 and 8.

Bolger, who was named as one of the 10 finalists for Jostens Division III Player of the Year award, earned MIAC Most Valuable Player honors last week and was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team for the third straight year.

Bolger put up career numbers in every statistical category in 2016. He averaged 18.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and finished in the top 10 in the MIAC in an amazing 13 different statistical categories. He scored at least 10 points in 23 of the 24 games he played during the season and put up at least 20 points on 13 occasions.

Bolger also came away with a pair of career milestones during the year. He became only the third player in school history to score at least 1,000 points and collect 500 rebounds in a career.  Bolger joined the elite 1000/500 club when he scored his 1,000th point on Jan. 9 against St. John's. He surpassed the 500-rebound mark on Dec. 2 vs. St. Thomas.

Bolger finished his career fifth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,268 points. He also came away with 679 rebounds which is second on the school's all-time chart. Bolger also recorded 17 double-doubles throughout the course of his storied career.
