Bolger Goes Back-To-Back In All-Conference Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/05/15)—A pair of Concordia players received conference recognition and earned MIAC postseason honors. Junior Jordan Bolger was selected to the MIAC All-Conference Team for the second consecutive season while senior Ryan Rude was the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

Bolger is the seventh Cobber player to earn All-Conference First Team honors in the past six seasons.  

The duo helped Concordia earn its second MIAC playoff berth in the past three seasons. The Cobbers finished the year with an 11-9 record in conference play which was good for fifth place in the MIAC standings. CC was 15-11 overall which marked the second time in the past three seasons that the Cobbers have won at least 15 games in a year.

Bolger led the team in scoring for the second straight season. He averaged 14.6 points per game in overall contests and had a 15.4 points per game average in league play. Bolger was also the team's leading rebounder as he pulled down an average of 8.2 rebounds in the team's 26 overall games while coming away with an 8.8 rebound per game average in the 20 conference contests. 

Bolger finished the season ranked in the top 10 in nine different statistical categories in MIAC play. He was fourth in points per game and third in rebounds per game. Bolger's top stat categories came in field goals and defensive rebounds. He finished second in the MIAC in both categories. Bolger attempted 250 field goals and hauled down 121 defensive rebounds.

Bolger led the team in scoring in 11 of the conference games this year. He was the team's top rebounder in 15 of the 20 MIAC games. Bolger scored at least 10 points in all but two league games and collected double-digit rebound totals on six occasions. His top point game came against in back-to-back games against Hamline and St. John's when he scored 24 points in both games. He had a season-high 17 rebounds in the team's win at home over Gustavus.
