Cobber Spring Spectator Policy

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/05/21)---In conjunction with the release of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announcement for the spring semester sports season, Concordia has announced that it will allow fans to attend outdoor athletic competitions.

The Cobber athletic department policy for fan attendance this spring is that spectators will be allowed at outdoor athletic events on the campus of Concordia College. Campus officials will monitor attendance to accommodate facility COVID capacity numbers.

In addition, the department also announced the following stipulations for fan attendance: spectators must wear a mask and keep a minimum of 6-feet of physical distancing. Spectators will be asked to sign in upon arrival for contact tracing purposes.

“We are excited to be able to allow family members, friends and fans to attend events this spring,” Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson said. “The condition of allowing spectators at games will be an on-going process that we will monitor in order to provide the safest environment for our student/athletes.”

Concordia’s first outside athletic competition will be on Sunday, Mar. 7 when the Cobber softball team hosts Minn.-Crookston in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The games will be played on the FieldTurf surface inside Jake Christiansen Stadium. The first home baseball game will be on Friday, Mar. 26 when Concordia hosts Minn.-Morris at Bucky Burgau Field.
