Equipment Drive To Help Children

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/13/15)—The Concordia football team and the InSports foundation are proud to announce that Saturday’s home game with Augsburg will feature an equipment drive which will provide kids in the Fargo-Moorhead area an opportunity to get “in” the game.

Fans coming to the Concordia football game on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. against Augsburg can bring new and gently used sports equipment and drop them off at the gates where volunteers will collect them for distribution to the area.

All the equipment collected at the game will go to children to help offset the cost of playing sports.

The InSports Foundation offers camps, scholarships and equipment for deserving kids to help defray the costs of participating in youth sports. The InSports foundation's goal is to help 10,000 kids in three years. To date the foundation has impacted over 3,000 kids through scholarships, camps and fundraising.

Some of the other programs that the InSports Foundation has put on include InSports days at Concordia College and with Minnesota United FC, play-it-forward events with the Concordia men’s hockey and women’s soccer teams as well as the MSU Moorhead women’s soccer team and  a camp with the St. Paul Saints.
