Administrative Change In Athletics

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/03/16) – Concordia announced that it is changing the administrative structure to the athletic department. The athletic director position will now be expanded to a full-time position. The change will take place on June 1 and Rachel Bergeson, who is currently the associate athletic director, will serve as the interim athletic director. 

Rich Glas will continue as the head coach for the Cobber men’s basketball team, a position he’s held for the past eight seasons. Glas had also served as the department’s athletic director for the past four seasons.   

Expanding the athletic director position from part-time to full-time will bring new opportunities for marketing and fundraising while retaining the focus on the highest quality student-athlete experience, management, program equity and compliance.
