Men’s Basketball

Current Record:

Series With St. Mary's:

- Concordia leads the series 78-53. The Cobbers have won the last four games in the series and the last four games played in Moorhead.
Story Lines:
- The men’s basketball team starts a stretch where they will play four games in the next seven days with two at home and two on the road.  
- Junior Brett Bergeson is fifth in the MIAC in 3-point FG pct. (55.6%).
- The Cobbers have struggled from the free throw line this season. They are 10th in the MIAC at 61.7%. CC has shot under 60% in the past two games and have shot over 70% only twice this season.


Women’s Basketball

Series With Hamline:
- Concordia leads the series 57-11. Concordia has won 19 of the last 21 games against the Cardinals. 
Story Lines:
- The women’s basketball also starts a stretch where they will play four games in the next seven days. 
- Concordia senior Alley Fisher is getting closer to the 1,000-point milestone. She enters 2015 with 952 career points and needs 48 more points to become the 27th player in program history to surpass the 1k barrier. She also has 142 3-point baskets which is 32 shy of the school record of 174 set by Annie Keeley from 2003-07.
- Junior Olivia Johnson heads into 2015 with the fourth best rebounds per game average in the MIAC. Johnson is averaging 7.8 boards per game. She has had at least nine rebounds in five of the team’s first nine games. Johnson is also second in the conference in free throw free throw percentage with a mark of 84.0%.

Women’s Hockey

Series With Concordia (Wis.):
- The Cobbers lead the series 5-1-0. The Cobbers have won the last five games in the series. 
Story Lines:
- The Cobbers are hoping to duplicate their theme of being very successful after the Christmas break. The Cobbers were 1-6-3 before the break last year but then went 6-0-2 in the month of January.
- The series against the Falcons is the first if three on the road to start 2015. The Cobbers will play at No.6-ranked Wis.-River Falls next weekend and then resume MIAC play at St. Benedict on Jan. 16-17.
- After scoring only two goals in their first four games of the year, the Cobbers have netted 12 in their last five games.

Wrestling

Story Lines:
- The wrestling team is currently ranked fifth in the latest NWCA DIII poll. The Cobbers have two wrestlers ranked in the top 10 of their weight class. Jake Krogstad is ranked third at 165 and Jacoby Bergeron is fifth at 141. 
- The Cobbers are coming off a 3-1 record at the Desert Duals in Las Vegas, Nev.  on Dec. 21. Included in the three wins was a 21-17 win over No.4-ranked Coe. CC's only loss at the event came against defending national champion Wartburg.
- CC freshman Jakob Stageberg is second on the team in wins this season. Stageberg, who wrestles at 125, is 18-8 as he heads into 2015.
