Cobber Athletics Summer Golf Outings
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/29/14)—Concordia alumni, family and friends can stay in touch with Cobber Nation by participating in one of the four golf outings this summer.
The Twin Cities Golf Classic, Finn Grinaker Golf Scramble, Cobber Baseball Golf Scramble or the Concordia Football Golf Tournament will offer Cobber fans a chance to rekindle old memories and the opportunity to support the Concordia athletics department. In addition to golfing opportunities, there are also options for businesses and individuals to sponsor holes or donate prizes for raffle drawings.
The 27th annual Twin Cities Golf Classic will be held on Monday, June 30 at the Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee, Minn. Registration starts at 11 a.m. with the shotgun start beginning at 12:30 p.m. A dinner and awards presentation will follow at 6 p.m. Cost is $125 per person which includes a round of golf, cart rental, meal and promotional items plus a $40 tax-deductable gift. Cobber fans can join current head coach, and former World Series Champion, Chris Coste as well as Concordia Hall of Fame head coach Bucky Burgau and former Minnesota Twins great Frank Quilici for a day of baseball memories. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with the shotgun start beginning at 11 a.m. A meal and prize presentation will follow the golf scrable. Cost is $125 per person which includes a round of golf, cart rental, meal and promotional items plus a $55 tax-deductable gift.
