Bio

Dan Kostich joined the Cobber football staff in 1996 after a long and successful career as the head coach at Moorhead High School.

Since coming to Concordia, he has been responsible for assembling the front unit for one of the best running games in the country. In 2004 and 2005 the Cobbers were among the national leaders in rushing and Kostich’s offensive line charges led the way. He has helped nine offensive linemen attain MIAC All-Conference status and produced the MIAC Most Outstanding Lineman in 2004.

Before his outstanding stint at Concordia, Kostich coached the Spuds to a state championship in 1987.

He graduated from Martin Hughes High School in 1969, earned his B.S. from MSUM in 1973 and received his master’s degree in physical education from MSUM in 1976.

Kostich is a teacher in the Moorhead school system. He and his wife Linda live In Moorhead. They have two sons – Shawn, who is on the football staff at the University of North Dakota, and Blake who recently played for the Cobbers.
