Titus Named Offensive Coordinator

MOORHEAD, Minn. (1/21/20)---Concordia head coach Terry Horan announced that assistant coach Travis Titus has been named the offensive coordinator. Titus takes over for Aaron Willits who left in December to take a job in the business community.

"I can't thank Aaron enough for all he did for the program during his nine seasons at Concordia," Horan said. He was a terrific mentor for the Concordia student/athletes and his work ethic will be missed. Aaron embodied what Cobber football is all about. Aaron embodied the spirit of the team as a family. He always had time for the student-athletes and we wish him well in his new job."

Willits was the team's offensive coordinator last season and the co-offensive coordinator with Dale Hertel from 2012-18.

Titus joined the Cobber coaching staff in 2019 and was the offensive line coach last year as well as helping Willits with offensive schemes and game plans.

"I am extremely excited to have Travis step into the position of offensive coordinator," Horan said. "His understanding of multiple offenses as well as his ability to teach the game to student/athletes will continue to keep our offense producing at a high level."

Titus brings a wealth of college football knowledge to the position having spent over 12 years coaching in the college football ranks.

Prior to coaching at Concordia, Titus was the offensive coordinator at Presentation College in Aberdeen, S.D.

Titus moved to Presentation after serving on the staff at the University of Jamestown. He was on the staff for the Jimmies for four seasons, including a stint as the interim head coach in 2015 when he went 3-1 in the final four games of the year. Titus was the associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and coached the quarterbacks and running backs while in Jamestown.   

Titus graduated from Minot State in 2003 with a degree in Social Studies and then went on to earn his master's degree in Education Leadership and Administration from Northern State In 2013.
