A Lucky 13th Year For Alumni Golf Tournament

Concordia hosted the annual Cobber football alumni and friends golf tournament at the Moorhead Country Club on Friday. Over 120 participants showed up to unofficially open the 2015 season.

"The number 13 wasn't unlucky for our annual golf tournament, commented head coach Terry Horan. "Once again we had a full house and the sponsorship continues to grow every year. The great weather is always a positive sign for the upcoming season."

The tournament marked the 13th year that Horan and the football team have hosted the event. All 13 events have been held at the Moorhead Country Club.

"There's a reason we coming back to the Moorhead Country Club," Horan added. "Larry Murphy and his staff do a tremendous job running the tournament and provide a first class facility."

Concordia begins the preseason on Friday, Aug. 14 and will host the University of Jamestown for the season opener on Sept. 5.
