Adams Earns D3football.com All-Region Award

MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/08/14)—Concordia senior defensive end Nate Adams capped his storied career by being named to the D3football.com All-West Region Third Team. It is the second consecutive season he has earned All-Region honors.

Adams, who transferred to Concordia from Bemidji State at the start of the 2013 season, also earned All-MIAC in his two seasons in maroon and gold.

Adams is the first player in program history to earn the D3football.com All-Region honor in more than one season since the award started in 2005.

The award continues the list of All-Region honorees for Concordia. The Cobbers have had five players earn D3football.com All-Region honors in the last three seasons.

Adams helped Concordia post its third consecutive 8-2 seasons. The eight overall wins marks the first time in program history that the Cobbers have recorded at least eight wins in three straight seasons. Adams finishes his two-year career at Concordia with 16 overall victories and 12 wins in conference play.

Adams had another solid season rushing the passer and containing the run from his defensive end position. He finished the year with a team-high 5.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for a loss. Adams also had 32 total tackles in the team's 10 games. In addition to his sack and tackle totals, Adams also came up with an interception and two big fumble recoveries for the Cobber "Black Shirt" defense.

Adams tied for second in the MIAC in total sacks in overall games. He was also tied for eighth in tackles for a loss and tied for sixth in fumbles recovered.
