The previous top-ranked mark came on Sept. 29 when Concordia was ranked 15 in the AFCA poll while holding down the No.22 spot in the D3football.com rankings. It is the sixth consecutive week that the Cobbers have been ranked in the top 25 in both polls.

Concordia is coming off a 42-7 win over Hamline. The Cobbers scored the first 42 points of the game and amassed 516 yards of total offense against the Pipers. CC also held the ball for 32:18 in recording their third straight win and seventh of the season.

The Cobbers continue to be ranked in the top 3 of the country in time of possession. Concordia's offense has held the ball for an average of 35:47 per game which trails nation-leading Elmhurst (Ill.) by 1:06.

Concordia is also in the top 10 of the country in total first downs, fourth-down conversion rate and tackles for a loss allowed. CC had 24 first downs against Hamline which marked the seventh time in eight games this year that the Cobbers have had at least 24 first downs in a game. Concordia has put up 200 total first downs in 2014 and ranked fifth in all of Division III.

The Cobbers were 2-for-2 on fourth-down conversions against Hamline and have now converted 76-percent (13-for-17) of their fourth down tries this year. That mark is seventh best in the nation.

Concordia's offensive line only gave up 2.0 tackles behind the line of scrimmage on Saturday. CC is only allowing 3.50 tackles behind the line of scrimmage this year which is ninth in all of Division III.

Concordia will face a key conference match-up when they play at St. Thomas on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1:10 p.m.
