"It's great to reconnect with all the great players of the past and see so many familiar faces," commented head coach Terry Horan. "The weather was perfect and we had an awesome turnout for the event."
The tournament marked the 12th year that Horan and the football team have hosted the event. All 12 events have been held at the Moorhead Country Club.
"There's a reason we coming back to the Moorhead Country Club," Horan added. "Larry Murphy and his staff do a tremendous job running the tournament and provide a first class facility."
Participants included members of the 1964 Cobber national championship team as well a group of players from last season's 8-2 squad. Concordia will honor the 50th anniversary of the '64 national title team throughout the season. The 1964 national championship team was honored with the Murray Warmath Legendary Team Award awarded by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation earlier in the spring.
Concordia begins the preseason on Friday, Aug. 15 and will travel to the University of Jamestown for the season opener on Sept. 6.
