MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/16/12)—Following their 28-14 win over St. Olaf in the conference opener, Concordia has jumped into the "others receiving votes" category in the latest D3football.com poll.

It is the first time this season that Concordia has received recognition from a national ranking poll. The Cobbers are now 3-0 on the year marking the first time since the 2005 campaign they have started the year with three consecutive wins.

Concordia is one of only three MIAC teams to earn national ranking status. Defending champion St. Thomas is currently ranked fifth and Bethel is the No.11 team in this week's poll. The Cobbers are one of five MIAC teams that are still unbeaten on the year.

The Cobbers have outscored their opponents 108-54 on the year and are currently ranked second in the MIAC in points scored. Concordia is ranked third in all of NCAA Division III in rushing yards per game this season. CC is racking up 350.3 yards per game on the ground.

Concordia will put their unbeaten streak on the line when they host conference rival St. John's on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. The game is part of the annual Family Weekend celebration.
