Bio

Mike Peschel continues the long standing tradition of former Fargo-Moorhead RedHawk stars serving as pitching coaches for Concordia. Peschel joins the Cobber staff after playing professional baseball for six seasons.

Peschel, who is originally from Alexandria, Minn., amassed over 35 wins in his tenure for the RedHawks. His best season came in 2004 when he went 7-2 and carved out a 2.86 earned run average in over 100 innings of work. Peschel also helped the RedHawks win the Northern League championship in 2006.   

Peschel was a standout pitcher in college at North Dakota State University from 1999-03. He set eight career pitching records for the Bison and still holds the school record for most wins in a career, most strikeouts in a career and most complete games in a career. His best seasons as a member of NDSU came in 2000 when he went 8-2 and struck out 82 batters in 74.2 innings of work.

Peschel was named the North Central Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2000 and 2002 and was a three-time All-NSIC award winner.
