Gefroh Earns MIAC All-Conference Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/14/14)—Concordia senior designated hitter Jordan Gefroh was honored by for his breakout season by being named to the MIAC All-Conference Team. Fellow senior Mike Rose was the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

Gefroh, who entered the season having played in only 11 games and had 11 at-bats in his previous three seasons at Concordia, busted loose in 2014 by finishing in the top 10 of the MIAC in seven different offensive statistical categories in conference play. The team's designated hitter led Concordia in almost every offensive category in the 20 league games.

Gefroh finished the conference 20-game season by hitting .457. He had an on-base percentage of .493 and an impressive .786 slugging percentage. Gefroh had at least one hit in all but two MIAC games and had 11 multiple-hit games and a trio of three-hit contests.

Gefroh led the MIAC in slugging percentage and was tied for the league lead in home runs (5). He also finished second in batting average and total bases (55) and was third in hits (32) and RBI (24).

Gefroh also had seven multiple RBI games against league opponents. His top game in MIAC play came in the second game at St. John's where he went 3-for-5 and finished with a season-high four RBI.

Gefroh hit .422 in his 31 overall games during 2014 becoming the 12th player in the past 20 years to hit over .400 for an entire season.
