Johnson Named To ABCA All-Region Team
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/29/13)—Devin Johnson was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Midwest All-Region Team. Johnson led the Cobbers in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hit and total bases in 2013.
Johnson helped Concordia finish with a 19-15 overall record and a tie for second place in the MIAC regular-season standings. He then produced on o the biggest highlights in postseason history for CC when he hit a walk-off home run in the conference semifinal game to propel the Cobbers to the league championship game.

Johnson caps his sophomore season by earning All-Region Third Team honors after being named to the MIAC All-Conference Team earlier in the month. He also becomes the 17th All-Region award winner for Concordia in the past 10 seasons.
Johnson, who transferred to Concordia after playing for a season at Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., finished the year by hitting .390 in the 33 games he played. Johnson hit safely in all but six contests and had an 11-game hitting streak midway through the season. Johnson had nine multiple-hit games and had a career-high four hits against Gustavus on Apr. 27. He also recorded seven multiple-RBI contests during the course of the year.
Johnson was the team's starting left fielder for 25 games and finished with a .970 fielding percentage after making only one error in 33 chances.
